Hello Grade 2 Families,
Below are a few updates:
Term 1 Reports will be made available to families this week via the parent portal. There are no parent-teacher conferences scheduled for this reporting period.
The Feast of St. Valentine (Valentine's Day) is on Saturday Feb. 14th. Our class (as well as many other classes) will be distributing valentines on Friday Feb.13th. I do not send out a class list directly; however, students wrote down a list of all classmates' names this morning. They were instructed to bring the list home today so that they can add names to their valentines if they wish. If students do not have valentines, I will have valentines copied for them to use/distribute to their peers. There are 22 students in our class. There are students in our class and school community with life threatening allergies so please do not send in any food items to distribute. Thank you.
Our next library visit and book exchange is next Wednesday (Feb.18th). Please return all books before then. Library visits are rotational by assigned week, i.e. Junior, Primary, Kindergarten. We are not visiting the library weekly/bi-weekly as in the past.
Much appreciated,
Adam McSheffrey
Hello Grade 2 Families,
The winter weather/temperature is cold and we have just received a fresh snowfall. Please make sure that your son/daughter comes to school with appropriate outdoor clothing, e.g. hats, mittens/gloves, etc. A number of students have been coming to school regularly with no snow pants. Outdoor play/recess time is an important part of our school day. As we are in the season of winter, children need to be dressed accordingly at school. If you need any support sourcing/obtaining winter clothing for your son/daughter, please reach out to the school office for support/direction.
Thank you for your support,
Adam McSheffrey
