Dear Grade 2 Families, 

As winter weather is upon us, students are asked to please dress appropriately for the weather, e.g. winter hat, mittens, snow pants, boots, etc.  We have begun to use our hallway cubbies.  As a result, students are invited to bring indoor shoes to wear in class or during gym as opposed to wearing their winter boots all day long.  Please ensure that all items sent to school are clearly labeled.

 Sacraments of First Eucharist & First Reconciliation 

If you are a parent of a child in Grade 2…On Wednesday November 4, from 6:30-7pm, St. Philip Parish will be hosting a ZOOM information meeting for parents (and students too if they wish) regarding the Sacraments of First Eucharist and First Reconciliation.  These two sacraments are traditionally done when a child is in Grade 2.  If you would like your child to receive their sacraments this year, we request that you join us for this brief meeting.

Use of the school gym has been permitted for staff to use with their classes.  The scheduled gym days for our Grade 2 class are on Thursday (AM) and Friday (PM).     

Our Grade 2 Class is in "Cohort B".

Thank you to all Grade 2 families for a great first week back at school at St. Philip Catholic School!  Here are a couple brief updates/reminders: 

Communication: Student agendas will be for notes from school to home.  Although students will continue to write in their agendas regularly, I will not be checking agendas daily as was my past practice.  Please email me directly at my OCSB email account adam.mcsheffrey@ocsb.ca if you have a question or an update for me, e.g. a known student absence for an appointment.  

Grade 2 Drop-off and pickup: Our student drop off and pickup location is Zone 1.

Student Accounts: Student account login information and passwords will be sent home soon.
